The New Scholars community is a sub-group of NiCHE composed of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and recent PhD graduates. The group is informal, arranging a number of digital meetings throughout the year, profiling new and emerging scholars, sharing resources, and providing a network of support and common interest. The New Scholars representative coordinates the community’s activities and advises the NiCHE executive on new scholar issues. The current representative is Nuala Caomhánach, a PhD candidate at New York University. If you’re interested in getting involved with this group, have an idea for a project, or want to learn more, you can contact Nuala or find her on Twitter here. You can also follow the New Scholars Twitter account to be updated on future New Scholars events or any publications, research, scholarships, or events that may be of interest to the community.
Thanks to all our previous New Scholars representatives: Jennifer Bonnell, Sean Kheraj, William Knight, Lauren Wheeler, Mike Commito, Pete Anderson, Jessica DeWitt, Laura Larsen, Mica Jorgenson, Robynne Mellor, Heather Green, Heather Rogers, Blake Butler, and Justin Fisher!
