I am happy to announce that Josh MacFadyen has accepted the position of NiCHE Project Coordinator. Josh studies historical commodities in their social and environmental contexts, and has most recently been a SSHRC postdoctoral fellow at the University of Western Ontario. He has been involved in a number of NiCHE projects in recent years, and has an ongoing interest in the network’s HGIS and digital initiatives.
As Project Coordinator, Josh will both develop collaborative environmental history / historical geography projects for NiCHE and supervise much of the network’s day-to-day management. He will begin the two-year position in mid-August.
