NiCHE is happy to congratulate our website administrator, Adam Crymble (who moonlights as a PhD Candidate at King’s College London), for winning a Gale Dissertation Research Fellowship:
The Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) are delighted to announce that Adam Crymble (King’s College London) is the winner of the the Gale Dissertation Research Fellowship in Nineteenth-Century Media for 2010.
The Fellowship is awarded for the best dissertation research that makes substantial use of full-text digitized collections of 19th-century British magazines and newspapers. Adam’s research is into the social impacts of the press as an anti-Irish catalyst in london (1801-1820) and he is using databases of Irish names to supplement more traditional keyword searches of newspaper and periodical resources. The Fellowship is made possible made possible by the generosity of the publisher Gale, part of Cengage Learning.
