NiCHE Honoraria Policy

The Network in Canadian History and Environment has limited donor funds to provide honoraria to contributors each year in recognition of their work and contributions to the network. These funds are available to contributors who are without adequate or consistent access to institutional financial compensation, assistance or support. Contributors are asked to self-nominate for honoraria.

Funds are limited and will be distributed until they are exhausted. Individual contributors may only receive an honorarium once in a calendar year.

The executive board may annually adjust the honorarium amount and dispersion schedule depending on available funds.

Principles:

  • 1 honorarium per year per person of $100 CAD
  • For those without adequate or consistent access to institutional financial compensation, assistance or support
  • For original blog post contributions
