About the Tour
This walk will explore who has access to nature in the city. St. Jamestown and Rosedale are near the same ravine and subway station, yet one community rarely enters the ravine. Using a social justice lens, the walk examines how ecology and inequities are linked in the city.
This walk will be led by Jacqueline L. Scott. Jacqueline is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto, OISE, in the department of Social Justice Education. She is a community director at the Institute for Public Art and Sustainability, Evergreen Brickworks. She also volunteers as a land steward, and as a hike and bike leader with outdoor clubs. Jacqueline leads Black History Walks in Toronto and is the author of several travel and adventure books.
