Zuzanna is a researcher whose work examines how societies interact with, relate to and reshape water systems and what risks and opportunities these relationships produce in the context of climate and urban change. Her research, conducted independently and with universities in the Netherlands and France, has engaged with French river basin management history; wetland governance in Hong Kong in the context of historical and contemporary urban policies; water and land management practices in urbanising Timor-Leste; and historic cities across the Mediterranean under water risks. Currently, Zuzanna works as a research support manager at the MACC Hub research programme, working closely with national-level governments on climate change risks to UK waters.
