Tathagata Som is a PhD candidate in the Department of English at the University of Calgary. He works in the fields of environmental humanities, postcolonial studies, and South Asian studies. He is also a creative writer, and his most recent short story, "Mother," was published in the second issue of Samyukta Fiction.
