Jack Hoggarth
Jack C. Hoggarth is Chair of Anishinaabe Knowledge and Assistant Professor in the Chanie Wenjack School for Indigenous Studies at Trent University. His work bridges academic and ceremonial worlds, focusing on Anishinaabeg intelligence, land-based learning, and the transmission of traditional knowledge. Of Ojibwe (Anishinaabe) and Gwich’in (Dinjii Zhuh) descent, he is a member of the Teetł’it Gwich’in Band of Fort McPherson, with ancestral ties to Curve Lake First Nation, Kawartha Nishnawbe, and Old Crow, Yukon. A ceremonial leader, member of the Minwewewigaan Midewiwin Lodge, and spokesperson for the Marten Clan, he continues to uphold Anishinaabe knowledge, ceremony, and governance.
