Jenni Makahnouk, Anishinaabe from Obishikokaang (Lac Seul First Nation), Loon Clan. She is a PhD Student in English and Cultural Studies at McGill University with a focus on Wendigo and other Indigenous monsters in Indigenous Storytelling. She is an avid beader, and her creative endeavours include several beading projects, such as the ongoing Woodlands Creatures series. Her beaded works have been exhibited in and around Montreal.
