Emily Kimi Witherow is an MA student in History at the University of British Columbia. Her research focuses on settler colonialism, cultural landscapes, and mining legislation during the Klondike Gold Rush. Specifically, she is interested in the transnational codification of free entry mining during nineteenth-century gold rushes in the United States, Australia, Aotearoa/New Zealand, and Canada.
