Call for Contributors
Submission Deadline: May 12 2023
Editors: Victoria Bates, University of Bristol; Amber Abrams, University of Cape Town; Rocío Gomez, Virginia Commonwealth University
We are seeking contributors for a new Handbook of Health and Environmental Humanities who represent the diversity and dynamism of the field. We welcome proposals up to 7000 words from doctoral and early career scholars, practitioners, activists, artists, alongside more established scholars. We are also seeking a range of disciplinary perspectives and a truly global range of contributors. The handbook is developed on the principle of openness and inclusivity, and its themes have been shaped by consultation with potential users of the handbook online and at workshops and conferences. In keeping with these principles, the ‘case studies’ section of the handbook is open for applications.
Expressions of interest need to be received by Friday 12 May 2023, and the editors will finalise the contributor list by the middle of June 2023. The deadline for authors is end of June 2024. The handbook is under contract with Routledge, to be delivered in early 2025.
