A new session in the ongoing 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗿: 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 series is now available.
“Environment and War: Historical Perspectives and Modern Challenges” is the nineteenth panel in the CIUS-partnered Historians and the War series.
Through a series of case studies from Ukraine and other regions worldwide, the speakers examine the lasting environmental consequences of war, conflict, and disaster and address how the ongoing war in Ukraine has shaped environmental research, influenced scholarly discourse, and highlighted the growing need to understand ecological damage in the context of war.
