Co-founder and President of the European Society for Environmental History 4/00-2/05, prior to that, since 4/99, Vice President. Member of the Executive Board of the International Consortium of Environmental History Organizations (ICEHO) since 7/2011, President of ICEHO 4/2016- 2019.
