Sarah is a PhD candidate in the Department of History at McMaster University. Her research focuses on Indigenous knowledge within Environmental histories of the Maritime provinces, most specifically relating to mining culture. She is a student researcher on the Mining Danger Project and a recipient of the Mining History Association (MHA) Research Grant.

Sarah also currently works as a Research Assistant for the Wilson Institute for Canadian History.
