I am a PhD candidate at the University of Saskatchewan, studying the history of canola, examining how canola farmers interacted with the federal government, the Saskatchewan provincial government, American agribusinesses, and nature. My research connects canola's growth in Canada with themes of high-modernism, hegemony, and neoliberalism.
