I have lived most of my life in rural Saskatchewan, first on a farm, later in a small town, always close to the land. The connection between the land and its people was the theme of my first full-length book, a non-fiction regional history called Looking for Aiktow. I continued that eco-historical theme in my novel Prairie Grass, published in 2020.
