From her educational and professional experiences in the fields of Ecology, Nature Conservation and Environmental History, an interest in the construction of contemporary rural landscapes has emerged. Research has been conducted in the context of the social and political dynamics of rurality itself, through quantitative and qualitative approaches. She is co-PI of the project “FIREUSES - Burning landscapes: A political and environmental history of the large wildfires in Portugal (1950-2020)” (PTDC/HAR-HIS/4425/2021).
