Andrew Candela
Andrew Candela grew up in Smithers BC, on unceeded Wet'suwet'en territory. In Smithers, he saw his first Igloo, which was made of wood, painted white, and filled with the taxidermied animals gathered by the region's hunting enthusiasts. He teaches Adult Basic Education at Vancouver Community College, and his research interests include the visual, popular, and federal political histories of Canada, relationships between social and technological worlds, and animal studies.
