Watering the Desert: Oliver’s Transformation from Dry Land to Farmland

The exhibit “Watering the Desert” tells the story of building an irrigation canal in Oliver and how it led to people coming to the area to farm and establish orchards and vineyards that are essential to the local economy. The exhibit includes the environmental impacts/remediation to the river, First Nations’ perspectives, and other stories. The exhibit will be open through the rest of 2024 and into early 2025.
