Olufemi Olaleye
Dr. Olufemi Akanji OLALEYE is affiliated with the Music Technology Department, Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Nigeria, a Master of Arts in Music, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Lagos. He is a member of the Association for Anglophone Postcolonial Studies/Gesellschaft für anglophone postkoloniale Studien (GAPS) and a Principal Lecturer and researcher with 20 years of academic teaching experience. He has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals, four standard music textbooks, five chapters in edited volumes, and several musical compositions. He is currently working on ecomusicology, environmental musicology, and musicological analysis for ecological sustainability embedded in traditional music heritage, with a focus on alleviating the danger of an environmental crisis in southwestern Nigeria.
