I'm a historian of modern Africa. My research looks at agriculture, labor, development, and nation-making in Ghana from 1880 up to the present. My dissertation, "Elastic Allegiances: Rubber and the Production of Sovereignties in Ghana, 1880-2017" sits at the intersection of environmental, social, agricultural, and economic history.
