Peter Richards
grew up in St. Catherines, Ontario. After spending some time studying at York University he grew weary of the polluted nature of city life. He spent time in the Quebec countryside before coming to Prince Edward Island in 1975 to visit friends. While passing through Kelly's Cross he spotted an abandoned farmhouse which he and his family promptly rented. In the ensuing years he bought property and built his own house in Kelly's Cross, where he continues to live. Richards is perhaps best known as the publisher and managing editor of The Buzz, Prince Edward Island's monthly arts and entertainment magazine.
