Summer Institute: Non/Humanity

Scroll this

Working through some ideas about humanity and others in the natural world? Of course you are!

Please consider applying to the Bucknell Humanities Center’s second annual Summer Institute, held in the bucolic setting of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania (and virtually, in hybrid format) from June 6-17, 2022. The institute provides space for scholars to workshop works in progress, and to engage with four exciting plenaries who represent a diverse range of disciplines. This year’s capacious theme is NON/HUMANITY.

This is a wonderful opportunity to develop some writing in progress!

Participants will meet for six days over two weeks to provide time to revise, rest, and collaborate. Participants are also provided with a small stipend.

For more information see:

Please note the deadline has been extended to 7 April 2022.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Jeremy Chow (j.chow@bucknell.edu).

(Last year’s institute, on Water Ecologies, was, seriously, the most rewarding intellectual experience of my time at Bucknell. ~Ed.)
