Photo by Geoffrey Rockwell. We need help. This shows some of the text on the fax roll from printouts of faxes. It was like one long scrolling palimpsest. The lesson is to beware of throwing out fax machines - they can carry a trace of everything printed. E-waste isn't just the electronics but it often has traces of our lives embedded in a readable form. What can be inferred through this archaeology?
