Black Out Speak Out / Silence on parle

On 4 June, NiCHE will be supporting a national campaign called Black Out Speak Out / Silence On Parle. Environmental organizations and other supporters across the country are darkening their websites in response to the Canadian government’s budget implementation bill (C-38) which proposes dramatic changes to environmental legislation. The proposed amendments seriously weaken the Fisheries Act, Canada's most effective piece of environmental legislation, with the ability to protect fish habitat and water.
