I research past and current resource exploration in Canada's North, with a particular interest in how hydrocarbon development in the northern regions is impacted by southern perceptions. My dissertation explores oil and gas development projects dating back to the late 1960s, and looks specifically at pipeline proposals, inquiries, and debates as sites of knowledge production and contested social power.
